The Effects of Memories on the Body
Everything that has ever occurred since the beginning of time is NOW is a recorded memory. There’s no doubt that every insult and injury — and memories of such — uniquely and collectively affect us. And, since most of us don’t suffer from amnesia, we need to strive to develop the purest sense of reality given our life experiences, genetic/cultural identity; biological predispositions; and, conscious and unconscious participation in familial, community and global patterns.
What matters in life is not what happens to you
but what you remember and how you remember it.
Gabriel García Márquez
- Ever had an argument that left you feeling angry, tense, or even upset?
- A looming deadline or been late for a meeting?
- A relationship with a parent, a partner, or a so-called friend that was destructive?
- Experienced physical stresses like sprains, broken bones, or chronic pain?
So, where do all of these universal life experiences go? Do these daily insults and injuries quietly and quickly evaporate? The simplistic answer is YES and NO!
YES, if we have literally and figuratively shaken off the stressor which now acts as a functional memory that serves us in the future and NO if we have unconsciously filed away the pain to relive the insult and injury again another day when a similar circumstance or stimuli replicates the original stressor.
Many of us can relate to an emotional heartbreak where your whole being is in a state of grief and you feel like you’ll never recover. Another example that everyone has experienced — you’re on the freeway, traffic is at a standstill, and your whole body tightens up and now you have a tension headache. I believe that argument we had with our spouse that settled in the back of our neck, or the pain from a difficult divorce that caused our ulcer, or that shoulder stiffness from an accident that happened 15 years ago, and even that recurring pain from an old injury is recorded — stored and stacked — in our physical and emotional bodies.
But, what if you found a way to renew your faith and tap into your own ability to heal your body, mind and spirit? The work that I developed, BioSync, is a hands on therapy that resolves the physical and emotional trauma our body has recorded over the course of a lifetime. You’re probably asking yourself now “how does this happen”? When you store a painful trauma memory in some part of your body the tissue in that area shortens, thickens, and tightens. You know, insurance actuaries state that most people shrink 4 to 6 inches in a lifetime! What BioSync does is unwind those areas that have been shortened, thickened, and tightened. As a result, the trauma memory is resolved and the body naturally heals and restores healthy function.
In the universe there is an immeasurable, indescribable force which shamans call intent, and absolutely everything that exists in the entire cosmos is attached to intent by a connecting link.
Carlos Castaneda
I believe BioSync is an important and necessary health care option. The intent is to address the effects of stored physical and emotional traumas while the focus is on self awareness, stress reduction, pain relief and rehabilitation using the transformational effect of therapeutic touch. The goals are to address pain and distress, improve flexibility, give comfort and build health.

BioSync’s whole body approach combines Eastern healing methods and Western modern medical knowledge to free the body/mind of limitations and associated dysfunction which may present as pain, limited range of motion, structural anomalies and soft-tissue injuries.
This work has the superb ability to “do no harm” while being profoundly effective. You can now begin to imagine the optimal life you can live, the good you can do and the joy you can bring to others by letting go of old patterns of belief and behavior. You can envision eliminating the effects of old physical and emotional traumas and all aches and pains to become a model of human potential and excellence.
Each of us is empowered with the ability to take action, choose a compelling vision and desired state or risk being marginalized into a pigeon hole of (dys)function — it’s not about following patterns it’s about breaking them so that we don’t repeat the same conflicts in ourselves, in our families and in the world!
